Shimano Components (M) Sdn Bhd / Nadzatul Zulaiha Mohd Nadzri

According to the plan of study, internship is the last course for all undergraduate programs in the Faculty of Business and Management. A student is required to undergo an internship program or on the job training in areas related to our academic degree and field of concentration. This internship course serves as a practical training ground for a student to receive practical knowledge and workplace skills that give experience with work and responsibility in carrying out tasks assigned by the company. It would enhance practical skills, knowledge and attitude in carrying out the task. To begin, my six-month industrial training journey began at Shimano Components (M) Sdn Bhd where I had a wonderful and valuable learning experience there. Ms. Kang Sock Fun was my supervisor during my industrial training, which began on 1st March 2023 and ended on 15 August 2023. This report provides an overview of SCM as well as the findings obtained during the industrial training conducted at SCM. The first point is the company profile, which is a vital step to introduce SCM regarding the logo, name, location, history, mission statement, slogan, business policy and their team guiding principles. Also, the organization chart and their product were provided in this report. The next point is my training reflection, which included about the duration of my training, the job and responsibilities, also, the gains that I received during my industrial training. Moreover, the SWOT analysis section contains the most important conclusion about the company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. All the information gathered from the company is reviewed in discussion and recommendation. In conclusion, I have obtained a great deal of knowledge and gained a variety of benefits from my industrial training in Shimano Components (M) Sdn Bhd and have successfully performed this assignment.
