Abstract

Course Description Operational Definition: Style The identification characteristics of a work of art, which identify it with an artist, a group Of artists, an era or a nation. Historical style – A clearly recognizable artistic tradition Characteristic of a particular historical or artistic period. This module is aimed in developing sensitive and expression through the discourse on styles in sculpture-making. Students will be guided through a series of lectures and written assignments to develop their knowledge and understanding about this issue. Before the end of the semester, students will produce individual work(s) that are based from their findings. The main objective is to see how each student is able to synthesize and develop his/her own understanding base from his/her own comparative studies on styles in relation towards their own interests.
