Methodology of exterior facade design (wall screening) of a school / Nur Hajidah Shaharudin

Exterior Facade is a very important thing to elaborate, therefore this report will discuss about the methodology of exterior facade design (wall screening) of a school that is located at Gurun, Kedah. This report was conducted for the building envelope of an exterior facade of SMK Gurun, Kedah. The objectives of this report are to investigate the procedure taken in order to design, construct and build the facade of a building and to determine the kinds of problems that arise while carrying out the methodology and the solution made to solve the problems. This will focus on the sequence of works and stages that are carried out in the methodology. To illustrate the function of a facade as an important aspect to focus on the work stages and then to evaluate the problems that occur during the stages. Observation on the procedure and the work stages was done on site and at the office as two main places where the works are being carried out by the professionals of each of their own sector. This report shows the important consequence of the methodology in handling the designing and constructing the exterior facade design in setting the tone and building first impressions of people on a building.
