Abstract

There is an illumination which is usually placed in the Opening Chapter of the Al-Qur'an, before the Surah Al-Fatihah and Al-Baqarah. Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia was actually having few collections of Al-Qur'an from various countries includes Safavid and Ottoman artifacts. Therefore, there are many types of layout design in the Al-Qur’an that was used to refer to their origins that embedded with certain character. Comprehensive studies had been determined from the previous and current related study, which regards Islamic Art development.
