Abstract

Maintenance is a process of keeping the existing building to ensuring the lifespan of the building can be maintaining and to give benefit to user and occupants. The main aim is to retain the asset availability and reduce the defect in the building facilities and also can reduce the maintenance costs. Besides, the inspection of the building to identify the building condition by identifying defect or damage that occurs into the building and to identify the response of satisfaction of user regarding the building maintenance.In addition, this report presents the building condition assessment done on D’Rapport Residences at Jalan Ampang. This report includes the research literature review of Building Condition Assessment (BCA) in Asset’s Life Cycle, its scope of measurement, data collection such as checklist of inspection, picture of defect and evaluation building condition assessment rating system (BARIS). At the end of this report also include recommendation of problems that occurs to the maintenance. The suggestions can help the parties of carrying out maintenance more effectively.
