Abstract

This course builds basic knowledge concerned with the origin of clothes, its function and fundamental characteristics of the form. Study about costume started from ancient Egypt (300 b.c) to the 20th century. Its include introduction topic about the development of history of costumes in the West and East. The course study includes external aspect with an emphasis on silhouette, costume types and costumes component. To develop students understanding and identity, internal aspect of history of costumes also taken as part of the important component.
