Abstract
Gasing is a traditional game that is iconic in both Malaysia and Indonesia. In Malaysia, the conventional gasing known as ‘Gasing Uri’ is made in Kelantan and is recognized for its unique shape and ability to spin for a long time. Similarly, ‘Gasing Raksasa’ is a well-known tradi- tional game in Bali. Both of this individual Gasing have significant cultural identities in their respective countries. The sculpture incorporates robust features of ‘Gasing Uri’ with a touch of Gasing Raksasa to represent the collaboration between the two countries. The sculpture emphasizes balance to showcase the exceptional craftsmanship involved in making Gasing, as they are made almost perfectly to stand and spin consistently. The primary material used in the sculpture is cardboard from Teh Botol, a famous beverage in Bali, to highlight Indone- sia’s contribution to the collaboration.
