Abstract
This course is designed to expose students to the possibilities that can exist beyond the norm of common theatre performances. Topics include understanding the realism and anti realism. Concepts such as "‘alienation" by Bertolt Brecht and Antonin Artaud's "Theatre of Cruelty". By comparing realism and anti-realism, students will be able to distinguish these different elements in the performances. Students must also understand the need to experiment and the reasons for initiating experiments in theatre.
