Abstract
The course will expose students to the definition, concept, importance and significance of material culture in the context of human civilization and local / regional values. Discussions will explore the presence / creation of items of material culture from the perspective of history, archaeology, sociology, culture and the arts. Students will be able to study and interpret selected artifacts / objects; the nature and purpose of creation / usage and the importance to their respective communities.
