Abstract
This paper explores the connection between knowledge management, sustainability, and facilities management in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) objective of creating inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable cities and human settlements. Although the significance of knowledge management in promoting sustainability is recognized, this area remains underexplored. Academic research opportunities abound in incorporating knowledge management into facilities management. The paper reviews related literature to emphasize the importance of sustainable facilities management, and how incorporating knowledge management skills into current practices can promote sustainability and positively impact future generations in economic, social, and environmental sustainability terms.
