TSL570 : Literature and media / Faculty of Education

This course expands students’ experience of literature by joining printed texts with video/visual ‘texts’. While there is intensive study and discussion of the five printed texts, the course also views film as a form of literature. Students will be asked to observe and reflect on the similarities between print/video pairs and the general effect of media and its impact. This course also further develops critical thinking and writing skills acquired in other classes, while developing collaborative team work, negotiation and problem-solving skills through the adaptation project assigned.
