TSL520 : Teaching English through drama / Faculty of Education

In this course, students are introduced to the basic techniques of drama, with specific emphasis on the use of drama as a teaching tool in the ESL classroom. Students are exposed to the various dramatic exercises and language games, which can be utilised in the classroom. Students are required to generate course materials for the teaching of particular language skills and discourse conventions. Students are also expected to stage a mini drama production, based on the Malaysian secondary school’s English Literature Component, at the end of the semester.
