EDU601 : Guidance in primary school / Faculty of Education

The course provides a survey of current knowledge on counseling in primary school and this course is to expose the students to a framework of counselling approach as a method in understanding and helping an individual or a group. This course will focus on four main aspects, that is; the history and orientation of counselling profession, the concept of helping relationship, basic concepts and requirements in the field of counselling. Universal concepts relating to guidance and counselling in primary school will also be discussed.
