ORCA: lounge chair / Nur Sabrina Nazlee

ORCA is a simple and comfortable lounge chair that was inspired by an orca or killer whale hence the name given. The orca or Orcinus orca is a toothed whale belonging to the oceanic dolphin family, of which it is the largest member. Orea is easily recognizable by its distinct black and white coloration as it is different from its brethren. The chair was designed to replicate the streamlined body of the orca which gives out a simple yet alluring form. Moreover, the purpose of the chair is to be used when users want to relax in a comfortable position to soothe their minds from stress. Stress is a normal occurrence in this modern timeline, especially, if you have a hectic schedule daily. Time away from a busy life would be good to keep the body healthy and more refreshed for future activities. The aims of this design allow users to destress and enjoy their surrounding environment comfortably. For busy and hardworking people, the best way to relax is to stop and look at your surroundings. This helps them naturally take the focus off their work and lessen the strain that they had put on their brain. Thus, making them more relaxed.
