ADE630 - Craft, Design and Society / Faculty of Education

This is a beginner craft course dealing with concepts and design as they relate to basic crafting processes of surface decoration and manipulation. At the same time, the students will investigate designers’ role in society. Designers’ work will also be examined so as to be aware about the design aspects of such objects the students encounter in their daily life. Through a series of lectures, workshops, individual research projects, students will gain skills and understanding of the theoretical, per formative and evaluative knowledge of design practice and design criticism.
