ADE628 - Craft Education / Faculty of Education

This is a beginner craft course dealing with concepts and design as they relate to basic crafting processes of surface decoration and manipulation. Students investigate Craftsman role in society and their work will also be examined so as to be aware about the design aspects of such objects the students encounter in their daily life. Through a series of lectures, workshops, individual research projects, students will gain skills and understanding of the theoretical, philosophical and knowledge on craft and its cultural heritage. At the end of the course an exhibition of crafts product organised by student to display research and development of the product.
