ADE475 - Art, Ideas and Inspiration / Faculty of Education

This course examines many subtle ways artists convey meanings about the status of individuals and societies through their use of 2-dimensional materials, image generating processes, and techniques. Students analyze the interrelationship between form and content in painting and other fine art manifestations. Then the students will use these understanding to develop their own artwork using selected media, processes and techniques. Through series of lectures, workshops, individual research projects, students will gain skills and understanding of the theoretical, performative and evaluative knowing of art practice and art criticism.
