Abstract

This study was conducted to examine whether the muallaf in Kemaman are aware or not about the consumption of halal food products only. As we all know that consumption of halal food is a basic thing that Muslims should know. However, for some converts or muallaf that is those who have just converted to Islam for their own free will without anyone forcing them, among them, there are still those who are hesitant about the concept of halal and haram in the consumption of food products. The problem faced by some muallaf is probably the lack of knowledge about halal and haram. Besides, this study aims to identify whether they understand the concept of halal and haram in Islam. In addition, this research was conducted and focused on the community of muallaf in Kemaman as respondents. Thus, this research has used a quantitative method that is distributing Google Form to the muallaf in Kemaman.
