Abstract
The purpose of this research is to determine the challenges faced by the educators at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Taman Selayang in ensuring the effectiveness of home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) during Covid-19. As only little media coverage had been made with regard to the challenges faced by the educators to implement the online learning, this research was made to point out the challenges faced by the educators in implementing home-based teaching and learning (PdPR). Therefore, to answer this research question, a quantitative method was used to obtain primary sources of data from the educators at SMK Taman Selayang. An online questionnaire through the Google Form were distributed toward the respondent where out of 76 respondent that were selected, 71 of it had answered the question with regard to the challenges that the educators at SMK Taman Selayang faced in ensuring the effectiveness of home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) during Covid-19. Based on the research findings, it was found that there are two types of challenges faced by those educators in ensuring the effectiveness of home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) during Covid-19, which is hard to get full participation from the student as well as preferring the traditional way of teaching. Thus, a detailed discussion of the study is extended in this article.
