Factors influenced the school chair failure/ Nur Afihah Jusoh

Furniture is built to make people's lives easier and more comfortable. School chair is one piece of furniture that is used in school. The thesis objectives were to determine the factors that influence the school chair failure and to determine the failure rate of school chair in school Bandar Pusat Jengka area. The information has been obtained from the questionnaires which to view what the problem occur. Primary data was obtained from the questionnaires, which 40 samples were distributed to three secondary each school and returned, and then the questionnaires were analyzed. The school chair failures may be caused by material, human and environment. The findings show the main cause of school chair failure caused by material. The failure could be due to materials used in making chairs are not good quality or weakness in manufacturing. As a conclusion, school chair is furniture that is very important in the learning process as to give comfort to students. Besides that, the problem of damage to school chair can be overcome if the schools take precaution to issue school chair so damage is reduced or avoided.
