Approach of alternative and art-rock styles of Radiohead: time-signatures and syncopations used in Radiohead’s 'Videotape' / Hazeeq Amin Azhar

This paper aims to investigate the approach of alternative and art-rock styles of Radiohead: Time-signatures and syncopations used in Radiohead's 'Videotape'. The prominent features of time-signatures and syncopations are a unique way of constructing a composition. The purpose of this research is as a contribution of knowledge for other composers that are interested to compose a song with a complex time-signatures and syncopated rhythms in their compositions. The objectives of this research are to ascertain the alternative, and art-rock styles of Radiohead and to investigate the use of time-signatures and syncopations of the composition 'Videotape' by the British rock band, Radiohead.
