A study on safety management practice and relationship in safety performance in Hengyuan Refinery Port Dickson / Zulhafiz Zamzuri

The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influencing safety performance. A sample of 73 respondents was selected through convenience sampling. Questionnaire was used as the instrument to collect response. Data has been collected at Hengyuan Refinery Co at Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. SPSS was used to analyse the data in order to get the final result of this research study. From the analysis conducted, result has proven that the dependent variable which is safety performance had a positive correlation with independent variable which are management commitment, workers involvement in safety and safety training. Safety training was identified as the most influencing variable that effect safety performance through the multiple regression analysis conducted.
