Abstract

This chapter has a few sections. It begins with Section 1.2 the background of the study, Section 1.3 objectives ofthe study, Section 1.4 research questions, Section 1.5 is research issues, Section 1.6 problem statements, Section 1.7 scope of study and significance ofstudy on Section 1.8 and lastly Section 1.9 which is chapter summary. Choosing an academic major is not always an easy task for students, especially since they determine their academic achievement (Graunke & Woosley, 2005) as well as their future career and life orientation. On the other hand, students’ satisfaction with academic major choice leads to satisfaction with the academic field of study and with future occupation and career (Logue, et.al., 2007).
