Reviving the recreational area as a community hub at sport complex of Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium, Kuala Terengganu/ Ahmad Sopian Lazim

Why are public recreation parks important in today's society? In the development of a new residential area or city, it is now one of the most important assets in stabilizing the development. But we always hear that the habit of recreation parks is practically impossible to achieve the needs and requirements of consumers. Sometimes the development is only to meet certain conditions without taking into account the real needs. Therefore, creating a recreational park must have the goal of attracting the public and providing the proper benefits. The design of a recreational park should provide all necessary comfort, convenience and safety. Public space is one of the destinations that should be prioritized as the created space will be an attraction to the users. It's because the activities in the area will be the starting point for activities and participation from the community. In the end, it will improve the quality of life and the environment in everyday life. The goal of this project is to transform recreational parks into community hubs where all recreational activities and economic activities are organized and organized as well as benefiting both humans and the environment. Hence, landscape designs in this project will be implemented to find solutions to issues that arise and to apply them to achieve a comfortable, friendly, multi­ purpose, spacious and fully functional public park will attract consumers for their daily use.
