Abstract

This research was conducted to study clearer about the relationship between Information Technology (IT) skill and employee performance in UiTM Terengganu. IT skill is defined as the whole concept of what a computer is and does it changing throughout the days, and the days when a computer was a rather good typewriter or calculator are long gone. Since the technology is growing fast, the new knowledge and skills in IT will be evolving day by day. As the consequences, almost every career now is based on the advancement in IT skills and the one who mastered in IT will be more preferable to be one of the teams in one organization. The objective of this research is to identify the relationship between email, electronic spreadsheet, and word processing with employee performance in UiTM Terengganu. The researcher had distributed the questionnaire among 175 respondents to non - academic staff in UiTM Terengganu. After the data had been collected and analyzed, the result shows that the relationship between the independent variable and employee performance were existed. The method that use in this study is reliability analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive analysis and correlational analysis. In this study the researcher only focus on general office which includes the email, electronic spreadsheet, and word processing.
