The management challenges on the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for site construction worker in Kuala Nerus, Terengganu / Nurulhidayah Mohamad

Personal protective equipment or PPE is one of the equipments used to protect yourself when in a risky place. PPE is one of the safety methods that are in the risk control hierarchy. PPE is a garment that must be used in hazard and risk areas. This is because the percentage of accidents is increasing year by year as a result of PPE even though the law has stipulated that workers who are exposed to danger or at risk are required to use PPE. therefore, studies have been done by researchers on Management actions to ensure construction workers use PPE While doing work. This aims to find out the level of knowledge of employees about PPE as well as the factors that cause employees not to use PPE while working. This study was conducted at one of the construction sites operating in Kuala Nerus, Terengganu. This study was conducted using observations, questionnaires, and interviews to obtain from employees and management. Upon completion of data collection, the data will be analyzed using frequency analysis and mean score with the help of computer software that is Microsoft Office Excel to facilitate the data is formed into tables and charts. In summary, the use of PPE among employees in the study area is very good. This is because the majority of employees use PPE while working and do the work in an orderly manner and accordance with the rules. In conclusion, the role of management is very important to ensure that employees are safe and healthy. The actions of a manager who cares about the employee have given birth to intimacy and a good relationship with the employee so that the employee can listen to his or her instructions.
