Abstract

This research is an attempted to identify the work readiness and employability of youth and graduates in 4 major education institutions in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah which involved Higher education which is University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and University Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and other vocational education institutions such as Institut Latihan Perindustrian (ILP) and Institut Kemahiran Mara (IKM). A selected key informant was chosen representing their institution to be interviewed. A structured interview questionnaire was asked during the interview session to gather the data needed. The researcher identified that there are three (3) main variables in this study which is work readiness characteristic, work readiness challenges and work readiness strategies.
