Abstract
With advances in software technology nowadays, it is easy to monitor all the computers that we used. My Activity Planning System (MAPS) is developed to record and monitor the activities performed by each employee in HSBC Software Development. This study focuses its research and analysis on the issues of monitoring software which has been implemented. Many employees argue about the use of monitoring software inorganization. Since MAPS software is used to track employee's activity, they need to be in front of the desktop for eight hours non-stop. Too much focused on the job can affect the body system or even stress. This study aims to evaluate the acceptance factors of employee monitoring software by using Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model and also to identify the ethical concern on using MAPS. Three constructs have been identified and extended based from UTAUT model which are performance, behavior and privacy & standard. The data which has been collected was analyzed by using quantitative method. 150 employee were randomly selected to be the respondent of this study. The findings reveal that the performance and privacy &standard have significant relationship towards MAPS acceptance. This study also determined the contribution, significant, limitation and future recommendation not only for HSBC, yet towards the organization worldwide.
