Abstract
Maintenance aims to give satisfaction to the users and owners and ensure will be maintained economically viable and physical life of a property. This report briefly explains the inspection and maintenance of the building is an activity that is needed for a property. Its aims to give satisfaction to the users and owners and will be maintained to ensure its economic life and physical life of a property. Besides that, inspection of buildings is important to ensure the lifespan of the buildings. This study is carried out to identify defects / damages and the factors that cause the defects at the building element and to identify the response of satisfaction of users regarding the building maintenance. The research methodology for this project includes review of the literature, data collection such as checklist of inspection and photo of defect and uses of Building Assessment Rating System (BARIS). In addition, at the end of this report was written on the suggestion and recommendation of the problems that occur in the maintenance management system by the facilities management division. The suggestion and recommendation is expected to help the parties responsible for carrying out maintenance more effectively.
