Abstract

It is basically to know the Music Teaching Approaches in church specifically, the Sidang Injil Borneo congregation in the East Malaysia of Sabah and West Malaysia of Kuala Lumpur. There are a-lot of music teaching approaches that can be used to teach music and it will be interesting to know some of teaching approaches that were used in church. This research will be looking at three main objectives which are to know the music teaching approaches of church music educators to church musicians, music teaching aids that being used and lastly the type of assessment used by the church music educators to assess the church musicians. The Music Teaching Approaches in the church can be a good extra knowledge and understanding to the fellow music educators who have passion to teach music with knowledge, skills and moral values.
