Abstract
This study is to find out an effective method of sight-reading in piano students of Faculty of Music, UiTM, Shah Alam. This study also to discover how piano students practice their sight reading. In seeking greater understanding, this research is in qualitative study and mainly involves piano students from Bachelor's Degree in Music Education (Mu220), Composition (Mu221) and Performance (Mu222). The overall findings of the study indicate that, UiTM piano student's method had the same methods as has been researched and published. However, because of the commitment to the other works, most of piano students had lack of practicing sight reading. From this study, there's a method from composition (Mu221) students to improve sight reading skills in their own perception. Furthermore, recommendation and suggestion for future research have been included in the final chapter of the report.
