The project in hand is a Proposed Upgrading of Ipoh Bowl Entertainment Centre for Ipoh Bowl Sdn. Bhd. at Kinta City Shopping Centre (Jaya Jusco, Ipoh), No. 2, Jalan The Lean Swee, 31400 Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. Ipoh Bowl is mainly a bowling alley facility plus other type of games such as pool, billiards, karaoke and cyber cafe.The purpose of the research is to research about a new arrangement of space, using a zoning system to group together areas in terms of access and able to accomodate the customers more efficiently, something that the existing premise lacks. One of the objective is also to retain the safety and quality, as it models as one of the world's premiere provider of innovative, high quality bowling products and solution. Methods that have been implemented includes site visits, case studies, interviews and research on internet. For the site analysis, common site and building info requirements were done by the permission of the owner of the proposed lot, Ipoh Bowl Sdn.Bhd. plus cooperation from SA Architects and Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh (MBI) with the drawings. Some of the case studies were done at the existing Ipoh Bowl Sdn. Bhd, some local entertainment centre such as Cosmic Bowl Mid Valley respectively while the precedent study was done on Brookly Bowl, New York as the 1st bowling alley in the world's built for LEED certification.
