Abstract
Problems of housing market have been described as the biggest risk to the United Kingdom economy by Governor of the Bank England and the Confederation of British Industry. This paper focus to investigate the movement of the house price in United Kingdom from year 1987 until 2017 based on time series data. There are three independent variables used in this research study which is interest rate, inflation rate, population and gross domestic product. The purpose of this research study is to investigate the relationship between dependent variable and independent variable, whether there is significant or not significant. This study used quantitative secondary data which is time series data and multiple linear regression models as technique to look at the movement of house price in United Kingdom. There will be 30 observations over the period of 1987 until 2017 that derived from Thomson Reuters Datastream and Worldwide Bank Data.
