Abstract
There are a thousand words to explain what art is. But it is simple. Art is man-made. It is a human activity where creativity and skills act together to produce a piece of work. People are diverse in the way they view things. This is the same with understanding the different works of art. As individuals, we know what we want and what resonates with us. Our individuality affects how we perceive art. We either like it because of its aesthetic purpose or its conceptual approach. Various opinions coming from different people clash, but it is utterly fair. Art is indeed subjective and diverse in terms of expression. For artists, we create or perform based on how we feel and what is going on around us. Anything can be a work of art. If there is anything I can say, that would be art is more. Feed your creative soul and do what is exceptional. People are meant to explore what is beneath the surface. Growing up, I see paintings to be so enticing. I was too quick to judge and say an artist is intelligent based on how well they present things realistically but I realized my idea of good art is too shallow. I was only viewing it at the surface level and needed to dig deeper. The form alone does not determine the artistry of a person. It is also the thought process that makes up a brilliant piece. I often experience artist block because I think ahead and worry about what the outcome should be. My end goal would always fall under having a good explanation. I used to think, providing a deep-seated background would give people the “wow” factor. However, neither the appearance nor the description can solely mark out how clever you are. Making your art intelligible may also mean being flexible and creative with what is available in front of you.
