Factors affecting participation in information skill class at Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak, Puncak Perdana / Sherylyn Selvester Sipining

In this era of information technology with the exploding of information, information literacy is essential. However for the past few years there are slightly decrease in the participation of students in information skill class at Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak,Puncak Perdana. The purpose if this study is to investigate the factors affecting participation of information skill class at Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak,Puncak Perdana. This study took place at the faculty of information management. The subjects that are involved in this study are bachelor-degree information management students. The data instrument that been used is questionnaires that consists of three section (A,B and C). Responses were made on a 5-point likert scales ranging from strongly disagree to strongly agree. A total of 362 respondents took part in the study. On the basis of the results of this research, it can be concluded that the main factor that affect the participation of information skill class since Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak,Puncak Perdana is the awareness of availability of information skill class.
