Installation of roof trusses / Nurin Jazlina Shaiful Zaman

Installation of roof trusses is one of the important factors that should be carried out seriously by the contractor. This is because a truss can give a stable form capable of supporting considerable external load over a large span with the component parts stresses primarily in axial tension or compression. The aim of this study is to discover the construction for installation of roof trusses for a high-rise building which is Administration Building Construction Project at the National Academy of Arts Culture and Heritage (ASWARA), Kuala Lumpur. The main objective of this report is to investigate the method of construction for installation of roof trusses, to identify the machineries and equipment used for the installation and to determine the problems occurred and solutions taken to solve the problems. Methodology for the case study technique has been used is by three methods which are observation, interviews, and document reviews. This observation method is done by doing a site visit to the site selected. During the construction site for this project, all data was recorded with explanations from the supervisor, contractors, and all parties concerned. As the result, it was identified that the installation of roof trusses must take important by contractors. Lastly, the writer hopes that this report has achieve the objectives related to the installation that is discussed.
