Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate about problems and commitments among lower secondary school students. The respondents were students of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Batu Rakit. The instruments used in this study was a set of questionnaires which is created in order to identify lower secondary students demographic profile, problems, commitments and effect face in their writing in English.
The data collected were analyzed using Microsoft Excel with simple pie-chart. There are three research questions of this research and there only one of the hypotheses is not supported. The result has also revealed the main problem of students’ apprehension writing English Essay.
