The legal provisions relating to local government in Malaysia / Noor Amira Syazwani Abd Rahman, Mohd Rozaimu Ridzuan and Ramha Rozaili Ramli

This project is created to provide an interactive and comprehensive teaching material for topic "The Legal Provisions Relating to Local Government” . This initiative will give more understanding about the Local government act. This is under one of the chapters for subject Local Government Administration (PAD320) for Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies (FSPPP). This project will focus on the important of legal provisions applied by local authorities, especially for local authorities in Malaysia. Based on the previous semester, it is indicated that students did not prefer to answer these questions in their final exam because it is too complicated. Hence, this initiative was taken in order to make sure that the students will understand better for this topic. Besides that, this also will give the advantages for the local councilor and local authorities throughout Malaysia. This initiative will include visual image, video, interactive games to provide a better and clearer understanding about the topic. Hence, the interactive online learning is built using the open learning website to accomplish the objective of this project. The successful o f the project will improve the teaching methods to become more interesting. Besides, it may benefit all students, especially Diploma in Public Administration’s students who are taking Local Government subject.
