Abstract

This research is studying about the application and maintenance of the skylight roof. Nowadays, this skylight is become the most popular in the roof design. Its many use in the public area like bus stand, overpass, walkway, roof parking and many more and also beside that, it use at the commercial building. Skylight can be said as a new transformation from the usual roof, the major different between from the usual roof is it can produce and allow the luminance and light to over through the roof. This study is to know how the effectiveness the application of the skylight and effect to the human activities beside to recognize the proper maintenance when using the skylight. The application and maintenance is important to study because what the main objective people like the skylight roof and the benefits to use it. Maintenance for the skylight is relate to the skylight performance, the good maintenance can give the good performance in the application of the skylight.
