This report briefly describes about contract implementation for public works. It also explain about tender process in detailed. Besides that, it also stated about types of tender. Public work is the work/contract where it given by Majlis Daerah/Pejabat Daerah/JKR to all contractors by tender. There is many types of tender been use in Malaysia for example open tender, selected tender, negotiated tender and so on. There are several types of tender practiced in Malaysia. Each tender type has advantages and disadvantages of each and its implementation is dependent on the compatibility of the tendering process. Selection of a tender in a construction project depends on several factors such as the size of the project, the construction site, as well as the cost of compliance with the allotted time, experience and so on . So, in my case study is about pavement work located in AmpangPecah. Pavement work is the work to maintained the road. When the pavement beyond its design life, it will be exposed to various types of failure and damage caused by the cumulative burden of traffic and others.
