Repair of ground settlement work / Muhammad Suheil Abdul Kadir

This report briefly described the method involve in defining the solution to the problem caused by ground settlement. It is also described the method of construction of building apron and drainage which are the repairing work that has
been made to the affected building. This report is made based in four month of experience at Public Work Department of Kerian and involvement in the project
of repairing work of ground settlement problem in Sekolah Teknik Vokasional, Kerian. This report also has been divided into few chapters which included company’s background and project’s background. From the observations, this
repairing work takes a straight forward solution which is only repairing work to the affected building compartment but there is no action taken to the ground settlement problem such as soil improvement process that could caused the problem occurring again. This report explains in detail regarding the method of construction of building apron and building drainage. During the process of
repairing work, there are a few problem occurred and this report has mentioned the solution to the problem occurred. As a conclusion, this report has provided
one of the solutions to the problem caused by ground settlement in Malaysia.
