The effect of living in urban low cost flat on the neighbouring and community enviroment / Raihanah Ab Ghani

The purpose of this study is to investigate 'The Effect of Living in Urban Low Cost Flat on The Neighbouring and Community Environment'. Aparment Abdullah Hukum, Flat Seksyen 8, and Villa Sentosa have been chosen for case study. This topic has been chosen because there were so many cases in living environment in Malaysia were involving low cost flat. This research was a study about the relationship of the development with the community. It also to find the characteristics of neighbouring and community environment and the social problem at the low cost flat. The data was collected by questionnaire and observation. From the research, it can be concluded that the level of facilities are in good condition. Majority of them know their neighbours and satisfied with the surrounding. There are no frequent problems happened at low cost flat that were observed. As a conclusion, there are some facilities problems in low cost flat. The objective of the low cost development was achieved from the characteristic of respondents. The respondents were comfort to live there. Proper maintenance can reduce the defect problem. The community for every area can develop to make a new relationship between neighbourhoods. This can help community to know each others.
