Sime Darby Pagoh / Farah Syahira Abd Jalil

The industrial training program is one of the compulsory requirement for students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering program. Internship training contributes to student's practical exposure and skills in the industry. It provides the students with working experience in the construction industry by practicing and applying the engineering technologist skills and practical knowledge learned from the class.
Faculty of Civil Engineering students are compulsory to do the industrial training for the period of 8 weeks during the break semester of Year 2, in order to students more
exposure to the construction career and able to relate what has been learned theoretically with the real application.
I have conducted my industrial training in Sime Darby Pagoh Development from 9 July to 2 September 2018. The reasons for my decision to do my internship in this company are the large development of Bandar Universiti Pagoh that can provide a lot of working experience to manage and supervise the township project in every
stage of project implementation. In addition, it provides me with the knowledge and experiences beyond the site construction but with the pre-planning process of
township development.
During the industrial training, I was placed under the supervision of the Senior Manager Bandar Universiti Pagoh, En. Ahmad Zaini Md Ladan. He was given us his trust and many opportunities to learn and try to conduct the site
supervision and monitoring during the peak period of the CCC submission and handle the site construction issues under his guidance and advises. Besides, my
colleagues also taught much knowledge about the process of planning permission approval, building plan approval, land conversion and subdivision and CCC application, and also Infrastructure and Environmental Safety and Healthy matters.
