Abstract
This research paper attempts to determine the relationship between interest rate and population towards demand for residential property. The method uses in the study is Simple Linear Regression Model. The data is collected for 8 years starting from year 1997 until 2004 in quarterly basis. Based on analysis from Simple Linear Regression Model, the results shows that there is a negative relationship between interest rate with demand for residential property. For the population, the result shows that there is a positive relationship with demand for residential property market. From the t-statistic, the result show that there is a significant relationship between interest rate and demand for residential property. There is also a significant relationship between population and demand for residential property in Kelantan.
