Abstract
Many have been said about illegal renovation, but the precise cause of this issue is still not known. In Malaysia, the Local Authority was provided role and involvement of renovation for housing. However, an illegal renovation is still happened. The question is why owners are still illegally renovating their home? Some studies have focused on measurable data. One could not help but wonder why law abiding citizen can, when it comes to house renovations, show such blatant disregard for rules and regulations.
