Abstract
Roads can generally connect people from one place to another place. In addition, there is no denying that roads also have a negative impact on road users such as road accidents and others. Therefore, the cause of the problem on the road is also due to the lack of road safety equipment. The objectives of this study is to identify the existing road safety elements on Alor Setar-Kangar road at KM 13. At the same time efforts to identify the opinions of road users on road safety. At the same time can suggest several things to upgrade the road the study method set to achieve the objectives that have been set. The study was made using observation methods as well as questionnaires. Due to the pandemic that hit the country, the constraint to make observations on the site could not be done. Therefore, the study continued using online methods. The results of the study also found that the factor of lack of road safety elements in KM 13 is also the cause of the occurrence of road problems. The results of the study clearly show that the upgraded road safety elements affect the road problems that occur at KM13 Alor Setar-Kangar road.
