The effectiveness of using new media in education: a study of the student acceptance in secondary school in Sekolah Menengah Sains Rembau, Negeri Sembilan / Nur Nabihah Mohd Fouzi

This study aims to identify the effectiveness of using new media among secondary school students in Rembau. The research also looks into the acceptance of new media in education in the context towards a more advancement in educational system. Although new media are being used and tested across the entire school in the world, but there still a deficiency on the development of new media. This research has been conducted in Sekolah Menengah Sains Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. The rural area is the main focus subject in this research study. This research was used a survey method of distributing questionnaires to 80 respondents. The data collected and then analyzed using Statistical Package or Social Science (SPSS) for Windows Version 20.0. This research founded the major elements that bring impact to the development of new media in education which are students resist to change in new media, students participate in cyber bullying and the outcome of students performance in Sekolah Menengah Sains Rembau. It is proved by data analysis using descriptive analysis and also supported by the previous research in literature review. The findings of the study showed that there were difference acceptance of new media in education in Sekolah Menengah Sains Rembau .This significance of this study will improve the educational system in implementing the technology advancement in schools.
