Abstract
The purpose of study is to gain knowledge mm the one of the type of chamber music as known as string quartet. String quartet is groups take in {our people; frequently it has two violins, one viola and one violoncello. The development of the string quartet was started in 18‘" century by the time in the classical era (175071820). In order to, this scope of study not focused on the performance method but the author more concerned on the composition analysis including form, melody and harmony as well. Hence, the author prefers string quartet op. 64 no 5 in D Major, composed by Joseph Haydn as a medium to do style analysis on that string quartet
