This paper presents the development of an English grammar courseware specifically designed for Malaysian lower secondary school students, focusing on the application of prepositions of movement within email writing context. Using the ADDIE instructional design model, the courseware addresses the challenges faced by students in mastering these grammatical elements in formal digital correspondence. The design follows five key phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, to conduct systematic and effective instruction. Unique features of this courseware include gamification elements of Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs), multimedia resources, interactive quizzes and exercises to engage with students and improve their learning experiences. By integrating real-world scenarios like email writing, the courseware bridges the gap between traditional grammar instruction and practical communication skills. This approach aligns with the national education standards as stated in Dokumen Standard Kurikulum dan Pentaksiran courseware also considers students' varying levels of English proficiency and aims to reduce communication anxiety through immersive, low-pressure learning environments. This tool therefore has strong potential for enhancing English proficiency and is scalable for widespread use in educational settings.
