Abstract

In today’s education setting, students must be able to work both offline and online seamlessly, especially within the context of blended learning. The ESL learning process often incorporates homework to enhance academic performance, but the method of delivering homework needs to adapt to the evolving digital landscape. This innovation focuses on optimising Quizizz to support the online component of blended learning, allowing students to engage in exercises both during face-to-face classes and remotely. By leveraging Quizizz’s homework feature, ESL instructors assign tasks that students can complete independently, connecting their in-class and out-of-class learning experiences. Quizizz’s user-friendly interface, mobile compatibility, and gamified quizzes make it ideal for promoting student independence and engagement. With features that allow teachers to set deadlines, track progress, and monitor performance through detailed reports, Quizizz provides an efficient platform for managing both offline and online aspects of ESL homework. This approach not only enhances students' ESL skills but also fosters active participation and self-regulated learning for Malaysian undergraduate students.
